We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Science Teacher to join our large and thriving department. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with the possibility of a TLR for suitably experienced candidates. Our Science faculty is fully staffed with specialists offering a range of courses including Double and Triple AQA Science at Key Stage 4 and various A-level courses.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Participate in the planning and improvement of departmental schemes of learning.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning needs and curricular objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and participate in internal and external CPD sessions.
  • Manage student behaviour in line with the school's policies and establish positive relationships.
  • Monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching and interventions.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the current curriculum and recent developments in Science education.
  • Ability to plan and manage work effectively across multiple key stages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal development and training.
