We are excited to partner with a fantastic SEN school in East Grinstead to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team! - Looking for someone who will be partnered with specific children, ethier 1-2-1 or 2-2-1



About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and other complex learning needs. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help create an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs.
  • Assist in implementing tailored learning strategies to support individual progress.
  • Help students develop confidence, independence, and key life skills.
  • Support students with communication and sensory needs using strategies such as PECS, Makaton, and visual aids.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Promote positive behavior management and emotional well-being.
  • Encourage an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in a school or specialist setting).
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An understanding of SEND strategies, including behavior management and communication support.
  • A willingness to undertake training and professional development opportunities.
