SEN Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for students aged 7-19. This role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing classroom environment to support academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including accredited courses up to GCSE standard.
  • Supervise and collaborate with Teaching Assistants to ensure effective classroom support.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help students make sustained progress.
  • Foster excellent literacy skills and behavior for learning within the school.
  • Use assessments to monitor progress and determine appropriate interventions for each student.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and wellbeing.
Expectations for the SEN Teacher
  • Maintain high teaching standards aligned with the school's behavior and safety policies.
  • Participate in professional development, training, and appraisal processes.

Role Details
  • Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8.45 am - 4.00 pm; Wednesday: 8.45 am - 4.30 pm; Friday: 8.45 am - 3.30 pm (term time).
  • Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching SEN students aged 7-19.
