Location: Oxfordshire - Hybrid available
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Able to gain SC clearance
- In date RPA 2000 certificate of competence
- Nuclear industry experience
- Able to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong awareness of nuclear, conventional safety and security requirements

Role information:

- Provide guidance and advice on radiological safety to ensure legislative compliance and adoption of industry best practice
- Develop and implement improvements to radiation protection systems, processes and infrastructure
- Prepare, review and approve radiological protection and process documentation
- Provide guidance for the onsite health physics teams
- Provide technical guidance and selection and calibration of radiation monitoring equipment, sources and monitoring systems
- Provide onsite supervision of contractors working in radiological areas
- Deliver radiological protection courses to stakeholders
- Maintain up to date knowledge of radiological best practices and UK legislation
- Respond to onsite incidents involving radioactive materials
