ILS Engineer (Repair and Maintenance)
Location: Wool, Dorset
Hybrid working 3 days on site, 2 remote
Salary up to £65k
SC Clearance required

Job Responsibilities
• Carrying out a range of ILS activities, in particular, Supportability Analysis, Reliability and Maintainability (R&M), Supply Support and Maintenance
• Influencing the product design to enhance in-service supportability
• Designing and developing the support solution for the product
• Supporting bid programmes by analysing the ILS requirements, estimating ILS level of effort for costing purposes and writing bid proposals
• Carrying out a package of work and ensuring that it is delivered within the budget and to schedule.

Knowledge, skills and qualities
• Spares Analysis
• Maintenance analysis
• Supportability analysis
• Reliability analysis
• Working knowledge of relevant defence standards including Def Stan 00-600 and Def Stan 00-40 Series;
• Knowledge of the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF);
• Awareness of standards: Mil Std 1388-2B, Mil Std 1629A, Mil Hdbk472, Mil Std 785, Mil Std 756 and Mil Std 470;
• Knowledge of Logistic Information Repositories (LIRs), OPUS 10, PTC Windchill and ARM tools;

Desirable but not essential:
• Naval working practices;
• Underwater acoustics and signal processing;
• Military sonars;
• Mine warfare;
• Operation and maintenance procedures;
• System maintenance tools and techniques;
• Military equipment documentation styles and formats;
• Naval systems and platforms;
• High quality standards with focus on service delivery and excelling customers’ expectations.
