We are a leading company in the construction sector, committed to delivering high-quality projects and services. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commissioning Engineer to support our operations in the South Region.

Role Overview:

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing all commissioning activities on-site. You will ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with company procedures, specifications, and best practices. Collaborating closely with the Commissioning Manager and the broader project team, you will ensure seamless integration of design and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the full range of Commissioning Engineers' responsibilities to ensure safe and compliant project delivery.
  • Review and monitor MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) related project risks.
  • Participate in commissioning system inductions and toolbox talks to maintain high safety standards.
  • Collate and complete testing and inspection records (ITR/ITP).
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure commissioning requirements are incorporated at the design stage and included in the project scope.
  • Review design deliverables, including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), equipment and instrument lists, P&IDs, control philosophy, and telemetry requirements.
  • Develop and review Compliance & Commissioning Plans to align with the design intent.
  • Oversee and sign off Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), including process witness tests.
  • Assist in developing the initial Commissioning Programme.
  • Attend progress and commissioning meetings to provide updates and insights.
  • Compile and manage commissioning documentation and deliverables.
  • Provide input into Commissioning Strategy Reviews and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors regarding commissioning deliverables and interface requirements.
  • Support Training Coordinators in compiling training materials and participate in training sessions.
  • Assist O&M Coordinators in preparing and reviewing Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
  • Distribute Commissioning Logs, Daily Diaries, and other relevant information from engineers.
  • Contribute to the preparation of takeover reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with the complete scheme delivery team to ensure project success.

About You:

  • Experience: Proven electrical commissioning experience, with extensive site experience in water and/or water recycling operations.
  • Knowledge: Practical knowledge of water and/or water recycling processes.
  • Certifications: Valid clean UK driving license, Water Hygiene Card (Blue Water Card), and CSCS Card.
  • Teamwork: Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a project team.
