Mechanical Technician (Maintenance)

£32,687.89 Inc Shift Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Overtime available at premium rates (average 5 hours per week) + 3% Employer and 5% Employee Pension + Room for further training and Development

Tonbridge, Kent

Monday to Friday Rotating Days Shift: 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm.

Maintenance Technician required for a manufacturer of high quality bespoke and commercial products relating to the interior sector. This is a role with a great opportunity for growth and has variety due to project work and a broad variation in equipment.

The successful Maintenance Technician will come from a transferable Mechanical Engineering background. You will have competency in gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and bearings. You will have either some basic welding and/or fabrication/machining experience.

This is an ideal role for an engineer looking for Monday to Friday role in a varied maintenance role.

The Maintenance Technician Role:

• Working between projects, reactive maintenance and PPM’s.
• Working on shift with other Maintenance Engineers, prioritising workloads to minimise breakdowns.
• Carrying out modifications of existing machinery and equipment.
• Sometimes fabricating parts and materials in the workshop.
• Always looking to improve efficiency of lines, machinery and maintenance where possible.

The Successful Maintenance Technician:

• From a transferrable Mechanical Engineering background.
• Competency in gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics and bearings.
• Basic welding and/or fabrication/machining experience.
