My client is a leading luxury goods manufacturer based on the south Coast in Eastbourne.

They have a fantastic accountant role.

MAIN FUNCTION OF THE ROLE

The role of the Accountant is to support the Chief Financial Officer, Group Financial Controller and other Senior Managers across the group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure effective financial operation and control
  • Maintain accounting systems, processes, and policies
  • Assisting with preparation of robust and timely financial information for the trading activities of the group, including analysis of company expenditure, cost centres etc.
  • Support the administration of the VAT functions.
  • Support in the provision of accurate and timely financial reports to an agreed timetable to the Chief Financial Officer, Group Financial Controller and other Senior Managers within the group
  • Lead on the audit process working alongside the Group Financial Controller

DESIRABLE SKILLS/PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in an accounting and finance team
  • Excel, Salesforce,Xero, Google Sheets
  • Qualified or actively studying and wanting to progress (CIMA, ACCA)
