An established civil engineering and highways contractor is recruiting a Site Agent to manage a local authority projectvaluedat circa 2m on behalf of East Sussex CC. This project offers work for upto 12 months, with strong potential for future works in the area.

This scheme involves reconfiguring road layouts, drainage upgrades and full public realm improvements.

You will be required to lead the project by managing costs, quality and programme whilst maintaining a positive relationship with the client. The contractor has a large directly employed workforce, therefore experience of self-delivery similar size highways projects is favourable.

Duties will include:

• Writing risk assessments and method statements
• Working with the commercial team to manage change and EWN
• Overall responsibility of health and safety
• Managing design and quality of the project
• Ensuring the project meets deadlines by managing the programme
