Manager - Accountancy Practice

Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex (Hybrid/flexible working available)
Salary: £45,000 £60,000 (DOE) + Benefits

An established and growing accountancy practice in Eastbourne is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join their friendly and professional team. This is a key role within the firm, ideal for a qualified accountant with strong client relationship skills and a background in general practice.

As Client Manager, youll oversee a varied portfolio of clients, delivering a full range of compliance and advisory services. Responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and sole traders

• Reviewing and finalising statutory accounts, tax returns, and VAT returns

• Acting as the main point of contact for client queries and relationship management

• Providing ad hoc business and tax advice to clients

• Overseeing and mentoring junior team members

• Working closely with the Partners to ensure exceptional service delivery

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or QBE with strong experience in practice)

• Proven experience managing a client portfolio within a UK accountancy firm

• Strong technical knowledge across accounts, tax, and general compliance

• Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills

• Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines

• Comfortable with cloud-based systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, etc.
