We are looking for an enthusiastic and thoughtful person to lead our Staying Well Eastbourne team as a Team Manager, delivering innovative services for people experiencing mental health difficulties and crisis. We provide an out of hours safe and supportive space that is an alternative to A&E. You will lead and motivate a client-focused team to provide responsive support.

Staying Well is an innovative service offering out-of-hours support, which is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year to people experiencing acute distress due to their mental health difficulties.

The service is a collaboration between the Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE) and NHS services. We have VCSE Recovery Advisors, Peer Support Workers and an embedded clinician who is managed by Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust.

As the Team Manager you will be working alongside the Service Manager, you will use client feedback and emerging national insights to ensure continuous improvement and psychological safety. You will work alongside other Southdown services and have the support of the wider Southdown team.

The Team Manager will provide line management to a team of Recovery Advisors, peer workers and will also provide support to clients. You will lead on the day-to-day communication with local partners to promote the recovery and safety of people accessing Staying Well Eastbourne.

Working pattern

Staying Well Eastbourne is open seven days a week. We are looking for a Team Manager who would enjoy working a mix of 09:00 - 17:00 and 15:00 - 23:00 shifts, including some weekends.
