Reed HR have partnered with a well-established SME in Eastbourne, who are seeking a talented HR Officer to join their dynamic Human Resources team.The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organisational skills, along with creativity, approachability, and self-motivation. In this role, you’ll offer advice and guidance on various HR policies and company processes, supporting the broader HR team. You’ll collaborate closely with the team on daily tasks while also managing your own workload and time efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist with all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees’ records.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
  • Support departments in the development and delivery of strategic HR plans to fit with the overall business direction.
  • Participate in HR projects, meetings, and training seminars.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
  • Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
  • Manage the organisation’s employee database and prepare HR documents.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and payroll.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Officer, Administrator, or other HR position.
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.).
  • Understanding of employment laws and disciplinary procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRIS is a plus.
  • Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
  • HR Credentials (e.g., CIPD qualified) are preferred.
