Our client is a UKAS accredited company who offer the full range of asbestos management services to their busy client portfolio, from surveying to lab analysis. They are seeking an experienced Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their well-established lab in the South East area. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of industry knowledge and will need to work to agreed targets within deadlines. They are offering excellent salaries and benefits.
Candidates will need to be commutable to: Eastbourne, Seaford, Newhaven, Saltdean, Bexhill, Crowborough, Uckfield, Burgess Hill, Falmer, Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing, Storrington, Brighton, Crawley, Horsham, Southwater, Haywards Heath, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Bexhill, Pevensey Bay, Hastings.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must be qualified with the BOHS P401
- Will have excellent hands-on experience undertaking the bulk analysis of ACMs within a UKAS accredited lab
- Good organisation skills
- Excellent written and numeracy skills
- Great technical knowledge, including: UKAS and HSG guidelines
The Role:
- Conducting the bulk analysis of ACM samples through PLM and Stereo methods
- Recording analysis results onto the internal database
- Creating and issuing result certificates
- Working in accordance with industry and HSE guidelines
- Being responsible for maintaining material stock levels and ordering when required
- Maintaining lab equipment and organising regular repairs / servicing
- Working both within teams and / or alone when required
