Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Eastbourne. This role is crucial in fostering an inclusive learning environment, providing tailored support to students with diverse needs, and enhancing their educational experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a similar relevant qualification, alongside a genuine passion for working with children. You will be responsible for assisting teachers in the delivery of engaging lessons, preparing learning materials, and supporting children in their academic and social development. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and specialists to implement effective strategies for individual students.

Your role will include providing one-on-one support and facilitating small group activities to ensure that all students can thrive in their learning environment. You will help monitor progress and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), maintaining a supportive atmosphere that encourages students to reach their full potential.
