Aspiring Youth Worker
This role is ideal if you have experience in SEN, a psychology, crimimology or sociology degree and, have career aspirations to become a Youth Worker.

We are looking for a dedicated Aspiring Youth Workerto supporting children with moderate learning difficulties and, additional mental health needs. This school is based in Eastbourne for children aged 8-16 and, has speciailised in SEMH to provide exceptional education and support for traumatised children and young people.
You will be helping children who have come from trauma/neglected backgrounds, challenging behaviour, ADHD or Autism and also have developed mental health issues due to their needs and require additional support with improving social, emotional and mental well-being.

Responsibilities of an Aspiring Youth Worker:
- Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students.
- Behaviour and pastoral support.
- Take an active role in forward planning with therapists.
- Practical approach to meet the individual needs of students.
- Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students.
- Ensure safeguarding of students, in line with procedures.
- Attend staff meetings and complete appropriate CPD.

- Impose patience and, understanding.
- Have an understanding with challenging behaviour.
- Always be adaptable in any give situation.
- To be able to develop trusting and positive relationships with students.
