Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a commited Learning Support Assistant to work on-on-one with a small group of children between the ages 7-11. This school is located in Eastbourne and support children who have moderate or severe learning difficulties and disabilities. This school is a very happy and welcoming school with a staff team that is talented, nurturing and inspirational. They all aspire to provide the best learning experience possible.
This role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting - career progression routes include SEN Teacher, Occupational Therapist and various Psychology routes.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
- Help children understand instructions.
- Support children during social activities and outings.
- Encourage communication and also look after their physical needs.
- Prepare and provide learning materials.

- Have an understanding with challenging behaviour.
- Always be adaptable in any give situation.
- Be able to develop strong and positive relationships with children.
