Commercial Finance Business Partner

We are working with a well-established Engineering business who are seeking a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their vibrant finance team in Eastleigh on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant or Finance Partner to join a growing Commercial Finance Team to deliver high quality financial reporting and insights to the Executive and Senior Leadership Team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Report on current and future performance, growth and productivity based KPIs to various stakeholders and advise accordingly to support commercial decision making.
  • Create and develop reports using PowerBI and other tools to provide key customer and branch information to the wider business unit.
  • Build partnerships and strong relationships with all senior managers to aid collaboration to achieve business growth ambitions.
  • Support and mentor the Asset Management accountant to develop the reporting process.
  • Producing business cases for further investment including property, people, and product to make sure we are investing in the right products at the right time.
  • Challenging current ways of working and look to drive efficiencies wherever possible and look to continuously improve working standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous demonstratable experience in a Management Accountant, Finance Partner/Advisor or Financial Analyst role.
  • Qualified or part qualified CIMA, ACCA, ICAW, ACA qualifications.
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI or a similar tool would be advantageous.
  • To have a strong interest in using IT & Systems to be able to analyse and manipulate data. For example, using advanced features on Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to undertake a range of financial and business modelling tasks.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in using initiative to resolve issues and queries, as and when they arrive and be confident and curious to find your own answers as needed.
  • Ability to act proactively / be forward thinking whilst maintaining a methodical, detail oriented approach.
