We are seeking a progressive Financial Controller to join a thriving professional services firm experiencing significant growth. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the finance function while working in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.In this newly created position, you’ll lead the financial operations of a growing business, oversee reporting and compliance, and partner with department leads to provide strategic insights. This is a hands-on role, where your contributions will directly impact the company’s growth trajectory.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing the financial operations of the business
  • Ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Business partnering with department heads, providing strategic insight and support
  • Redeveloping the financial reporting suite
  • Using automation and developing best-in-class processes
  • Liaising with other areas of the business on commercial matters
  • Managing the audit process
  • Leading the annual budgeting process, working closely with various departments
  • Managing cash flow and implementing strategies to optimise working capital
What you will need:
  • To be a qualified accountant ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Controller / Finance Manager / Finance Director / Head of Finance / Finance Business Partner / Management Accountant
  • Team management experience
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to question and improve existing processes
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Power BI / dashboard building experience is strongly desirable
  • Professional services sector experience is highly desirable
