We are seeking a progressive Financial Controller to join a thriving professional services firm experiencing significant growth. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the finance function while working in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.In this newly created position, you’ll lead the financial operations of a growing business, oversee reporting and compliance, and partner with department leads to provide strategic insights. This is a hands-on role, where your contributions will directly impact the company’s growth trajectory.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

Overseeing the financial operations of the business
Ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements
Business partnering with department heads, providing strategic insight and support
Redeveloping the financial reporting suite
Using automation and developing best-in-class processes
Liaising with other areas of the business on commercial matters
Managing the audit process
Leading the annual budgeting process, working closely with various departments
Managing cash flow and implementing strategies to optimise working capital

What you will need:

To be a qualified accountant ACA / ACCA / CIMA
Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Controller / Finance Manager / Finance Director / Head of Finance / Finance Business Partner / Management Accountant
Team management experience
A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to question and improve existing processes
Advanced Excel skills
Power BI / dashboard building experience is strongly desirable
Professional services sector experience is highly desirable
