Supporting the Financial Controller with the timely and accurate month end close process, underpinned by a robust control environment across the finance function. Delivering consolidated management accounts and annual statutory accounts. Developing accounting policies, KPIs and cash flow forecasts.

Description

* Ensure daily, weekly and monthly reporting is done in an accurate, concise and timely manner.* Produce full set of consolidated management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) by 5th working day of month and relevant schedules for the board pack.* Ensure key controls are operating effectively and oversee a robust review of balance sheet review at month end.* Produce analysis of costs vs budget.* Support with the production of monthly reports for Lenders and Investors.* Continuous review and improvement of month end reporting processes to keep pace with changes in the business and drive efficiency.* Investigate accounting issues that arise.* Support the FC with the year end audit process - liaise between auditors and other parts of the business to ensure an efficient audit process and produce the statutory accounts in an accurate and timely fashion. * Production of the weekly cash flow forecasts.* Ensure accurate preparation and timely submission of VAT and corporation tax returns.* Assist with the financial integration of acquired businesses into the Group.* Liaise with other departments and internal stakeholders on data and financial reporting issues.

Profile

* Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent * Accountancy qualification * Experience of producing management accounts* Report writing, data analysis and interpretation* Driving process improvements and changes to meet organisational objectives* Experience of using financial systems * Setting up/reviewing and maintaining financial processes* MS Office, strong Excel skills* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Ability to think logically and apply a methodical approach to organising information or preparing a business proposal. * High level of accuracy, with strong attention to detail* Ability to maintain confidence of staff at all levels* Ability to cost-effectively fulfil an unending requirement from finite resource
