We are partnering with a fast growing accounting firm in their search to find an R&D Tax Specialist. You could already be a specialist, or be interested to specialise in R&D, in order to be considered for this role.

Your role will involve:

  • Collaborating with clients in technical discussions to identify qualifying R&D projects and their associated expenditures.
  • Applying HMRC R&D tax relief guidelines to technically assess projects and prepare necessary supporting documentation.
  • Developing compelling technical reports, aligned with HMRC’s BEIS guidelines, to effectively communicate the key technical aspects of client projects in support of R&D claims.
  • Engaging with clients' senior technical teams to gain a thorough understanding of their projects and review them in relation to HMRC's R&D Tax Relief criteria.
  • Continuously expanding your knowledge and skills by staying informed about industry advancements and legislative changes relevant to R&D tax relief and other innovation incentives.
  • Cultivating relationships with prospective clients and successfully converting them.
  • Providing Directors with timely weekly and monthly updates on the progress of claims.
  • Building connections and collaborating with colleagues throughout the organization.

  • A solid technical background in R&D tax relief, preferably with experience in a specialized R&D firm or accounting environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients.
  • A meticulous approach to technical details and a dedication to achieving accuracy the first time.
