Our client, is currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team in Eastleigh on a permanent, part-time basis. This hybrid role offers flexible working hours with a weekly office presence required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the submission of Corporation Tax computations and returns, VAT returns and returns to HMRC in compliance with relevant legislation and within time limits
  • Ensuring that tax disclosures within the year-end accounts are calculated in accordance with relevant legislation and accounting standards
  • Assisting Payroll and HR with employment tax matters as required
  • Maintaining arrangements for documentation, review, and sign-off of appropriate controls for tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with Senior Accounting Officer legislation
  • Developing and managing direct report to this role
  • Building and maintaining relationships with HMRC, including regular written and face-to-face contact
Job Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate effectively to people at all levels
  • A broad understanding of CT, VAT, and IPT, with commercial awareness of the business environment
  • Ability to understand, evaluate, and interpret various financial data, identifying inconsistencies
  • ACA, ATT qualification, preferably with post-qualification experience
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with directors, managers, external parties, and colleagues
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software, particularly Microsoft Excel
