Edenbrook are currently recruiting a Senior Tax Account to manage the internal and external tax compliance, reporting activities and managing a range of stakeholder relationships.The chosen candidate will be a primary point of contact with HMRC, building relationships with the group’s Customer Compliance Manager and supporting team and managing the day to day relationship via regular written and face-to-face contact

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To manage the submission of Corporation Tax computations and returns, VAT returns and IPT returns to HMRC in accordance with relevant legislation and within time limits.
  • To ensure that tax disclosures within the year-end accounts are calculated in accordance with relevant legislation and accounting standards.
  • To assist Payroll and HR with employment tax matters as required.
  • To maintain arrangements for documentation, review and sign-off of appropriate controls for tax related matters, ensuring compliance with Senior Accounting Officer legislation.
  • To ensure businesses are prepared for the introduction of BEPS Pillar II framework

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A broad understanding of CT, VAT and IPT. A broad knowledge of the relevant business environment and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to understand, evaluate and interpret various financial data. Of particular importance is the ability to identify apparent inconsistencies in data.
  • Qualified in ACA, ATT or CTA with preferably 2 years PQE
  • IT literate, to include a good working knowledge of spreadsheet software, especially Microsoft Excel.
