We are working with a leading Insurer for a Senior Tax Accountant (Part Time). This role is based in Eastleigh on a 20 hour - 25 hour a week contract, working on the internal & external compliance and reporting activities of the group.

The core responsibilities of this role are:

  • To manage the submission of Corporation Tax computations and returns, VAT returns and IPT returns to HMRC in accordance with relevant legislation and within time limits.
  • To ensure that tax disclosures within the year-end accounts are calculated in accordance with relevant legislation and accounting standards.
  • To assist Payroll and HR with employment tax matters as required.
  • To maintain arrangements for documentation, review and sign-off of appropriate controls for tax related matters, ensuring compliance with Senior Accounting Officer legislation.
  • To ensure that the Ageas UK businesses are prepared for the introduction of BEPS Pillar II framework
  • Develop and manage the direct report to this role

The successful candidate for this role will be:

  • A Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Etc.)
  • A broad understanding of CT, VAT and IPT.
  • IT literate, to include a good working knowledge of spreadsheet software, especially Microsoft Excel.
