We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join a thriving team in Eastleigh.   • Managing the sales ledger and monthly billing
  • Handling front-to-back credit control, including chasing and allocating cash
  • Supporting purchase ledger activities such as proposing payments, conducting supplier reconciliations, and liaising with clients
  • Assisting with payroll for over 40 employees and subcontractors
  • Supporting month-end activities and management accounts production
  • Conducting bank reconciliations
  • Implementing process improvements
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Management Accountant / Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Payroll Clerk / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk
  • Experience with purchase and sales ledgers
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • AAT qualifications are advantageous but we value practical experience and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
  • Confidence to address issues and communicate with stakeholders
