This is varied role within the design office where you will be responsible for managing a range of projects and liaising with the directors to create structures that fit the clients' needs. You will be responsible for designing a variety of projects from conception to completion such as wind farms, drainage design and Electrical sub-stations for the National Grid.This company provide solutions for an ever-expanding client base across the UK, including Commercial, Residential, and Industrial sectors. They work with a variety of big clients such as Siemens Energy, Balfour Beatty and J Murphys & Sons and have doubled their turnover year on year. This Building consultancy are committed to offering a first-class service and providing cost effective solutions to both large and small projects.This role would suit an experienced Structural Engineer looking for a permanent position within a growing Engineering Consultancy as they aim to become a market leader.The role

  • Preparation of structural reports and structural calculations, working drawings, and specifications
  • Designing a variety of projects from scratchManagement of projects across all stages
  • Undertaking site visits from time to time
  • Attending project meetings
  • Leading your team to create structures to meet the clients' needs
  • 37 hours a week, 8:00am-4:30pm, flexible working hours
  • Office based role

The person

  • Experienced Structural Engineer
  • Degree in a relevant discipline, a masters would be an advantage
  • Drainage experience would be ideal
  • Has used Tekla Structural Designer and TEDDS (other design packages would be considered)
