Job Title: Project ManagerTarget Start Date: ASAPContract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Job Share option availableSalary Range: Circa £60k DOELocation: Eastleigh or BournemouthWork Level: 4 Closing Date for applications: Monday 6th January 2025Project Manager: We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Transformation Team on a 12 month fixed term contract, full-time basis. In line with our new business strategy, you will be working on a variety of business and technical projects that will modernise our business, improve our efficiency and deliver new and improved products. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of project management required to deliver a project either within a programme or as a standalone project, delivering the project’s objectives within scope, time, cost and quality constraints. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience working on a variety of projects across multiple business or technical areas and will ideally have experience managing third party suppliers and offshore delivery.Main Responsibilities as Project Manager:
- You will ensure that the project is managed and governed in adherence to the Ageas Change Framework.
- Ensure that the project produces a result capable of achieving the benefits defined in the projects business case.
- Day to day project management and control activities by coordinating others to undertake the work, as well as contributing to the delivery of tasks, when relevant and appropriate
- Managing stakeholder relationships and communication in accordance with the agreed communication plan
- Clearly and regularly communicating progress, as well as any issues and risks, to the relevant stakeholders
- Oversight of work stream / delivery team leads who are responsible for delivering some, or all, of the project products/deliverables
- Ensuring that the products/deliverables have been tested and that they meet the defined and agreed acceptance criteria, by;
- Ensuring that the transition of the project from delivery into operational working and support is complete, within agreed acceptance criteria and aligned with the Stage Gate
- Ensuring that all lessons learnt are captured, and that a benefits realisation plan has been produced.
Skills and experience you need as Project Manager:
- Able to make balanced and commercially sound decisions within the context of a project’s strategic objectives.
- End to end experience of the project lifecycle.
- Experience of software development lifecycle, regulatory change and working in a regulated Financial Services environment is advantageous but not a necessity.
- Excellent analytical skills, the ability to work under pressure and to business critical deadlines
- Expertise in setting and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Able to maintain a high degree of customer / client / sponsor satisfaction and professionalism.
- Demonstrates customer-centric approach, able to build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders
- Proven ability to solve complex queries, able to easily grasp and communicate complex ideas in a timely manner.
- Demonstrable ability to work as a part of a team and foster good working relationships internally and externally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills, able to control and schedule workload and successfully meet deadlines.
