Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading refurbishment shopfitting contractor based near Eastleigh, Hampshire who is searching for a Contracts Manager to join the business.

The company has a long tradition of successfully delivering  retail, convenience store, restaurants, gyms and office fitout projects across the UK with project values ranging from 50K to 4M.

The company is entering a sustained busy period and are looking for a motivated Contracts Manager based within a 1 hour commute of Eastleigh.
This role would suit a Project Manager or Contracts Manager with refurbishment or shopfitting experience who is looking for a long term career opportunity.

The role of the Contracts Manager:
As Contracts Manager you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable running of each project. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all projects are surveyed, quoted, planned, programmed and labour resourced to meet the client’s requirements.

Responsibilities of the Contracts Manager

  • Attending design & pre-start meetings.
  • Surveying sites prior to quotation.
  • Liaising with the client, designers and structural engineers (where applicable) on the project detail.
  • Issuing enquires to sub-contractors for pricing purposes.
  • Quoting for the works required.
  • Programming the project.
  • Completing materials breakdowns.
  • Issuing material, sundries and subcontractor purchase orders.
  • The provision of leadership of the project.
  • Carrying out site visits.
  • Costing/pricing the project using a Schedule of Rates.
  • Submitting invoices & final accounts to the client.
