My client, a forward-thinking organisation in the pump rental industry is committed to driving digital transformation and operational excellence. With a workforce of around 600 talented individuals, they're on a mission to enhance customer engagement and streamline processes through innovative technology solutions.

As the Lead Business Architect, you will be the cornerstone of the architectural team, leading the charge in ERP/CRM initiatives while overseeing a diverse range of projects hosted/developed on prem/in the cloud (Microsoft Azure).

My client is not looking a technical architect, more someone who is focused on business processes and can define a "as is" and "to be' solution for the business. Not looking for someone who is highly technical but someone who can drive the business blueprint and drive business change.

You will work closely with executive leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive technology architecture that aligns with strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on architect/Lead Architect to Serve as the primary decision-maker for technology architecture choices, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, best practices, and emerging trends. This will include supervising the quality of design and implementation efforts across the organisation as the team continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of ERP (finance, manufacturing, distribution and quote to cash) and CRM solutions (ideally Salesforce for sales, service and field service excellence; data warehousing and analytics along with IOT telematics solutions to support our customers.
• guiding RFI/RFP discussions to select the best-fit systems for the organisation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create a robust architecture blueprint (current state ("as-is") and future state ("to-be") ) that reflects the current and future technology landscape.
• Provide strategic oversight for all technology choices, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
• Mentor and develop a growing team of professionals, including a Solution Architect, Business Analysts, and Process Engineers.
• Engage with vendors and third-party suppliers to ensure successful implementation and integration of technology solutions.

What my client is looking for:

• Strong as is/to be architectural blue print experience
• business change
• Experience in Digital Transformation ideally to include ERP (example Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft or Salesforce CRM solutions, with knowledge of Azure technologies (not necessarily as a specialist).
• A proven track record in leading architectural projects and delivering results in medium sized (up to 1000 employees) businesses.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• An innovative mindset, ready to tackle challenges and drive transformation through technology.
• Experience in managing teams or a desire to grow into a leadership role.
• Relevant certifications in architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF) and methodologies (eg, Agile, Waterfall) are highly desirable.
• Experience in managing global processes, with a strong understanding of cultural and regional differences, particularly within Europe.
• Experience with process re-engineering and the application of LEAN methodologies in a commercial setting is a strong advantage.
