Finance Analyst - Chandlers Ford - Temporary role - 3-4 months - Hybrid position working from home 2 days a week

We are looking for an experienced finance analyst to join a fast paced growing team, and you will be responsible for overseeing benefits, bonuses and pay reviews across the Group. The Finance Analyst role is to support the Reward Manager within the HR team with analysis, data manipulation and benefits administration. The role requires an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel as much of the work involves data manipulation and data analysis.

The Finance Analyst duties include:

  • Support with the administration bonus schemes through preparation of new joiner bonus letters and administration of individual entitlements, pro-rating and preparation of payment files for Finance approval and Payroll processing.
  • With oversight from the Reward Manager, manage the administration of the annual pay review process, creating business unit pay review sheets, distributing and collating pay data including analysis of pay data for individual anomalies, suggesting and reviewing recommendations for non-standard pay rises and review of inbound pay proposals prior to senior leader approval.
  • Supporting with the holiday trading process - preparing sign-up e-forms, managing colleague requests for holiday trading and subsequent line manager reviews and approvals through to preparation of the final approved holiday trading file
  • Preparation of data for new benefit sign-ups, managing communications to eligible colleagues and preparation of sign-up forms through to new member lists ready to submit to our brokers and benefit providers for new plan set-up.
  • Support with various data-driven projects such as benefit renewals or preparatory work in readiness for starting to payroll benefits that require large scale data manipulation and analysis, often using Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Cost analysis and financial modelling of new and existing benefits and financial arrangements.
  • Responsible for administering requests from colleagues to join or leave various benefits e.g. Bupa and Medicash schemes as well as bonus scheme administration including new joiner letters.

Experience and skills required

  • Educated to college level or higher, including GCSE Maths and ICT (or equivalent).
  • Financial qualifications are preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience of Benefits administration, such as annual pay reviews, bonus reviews or implementing new benefits would be advantageous.
  • Strong Excel and data management skills, including experience of manipulating large volumes of data, and using various formulas for data analysis in Excel.
  • Intermediate to advanced IT skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office suite with the ability to interpret and analyse data on Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll (systems, processes or rules) an advantage but not essential.
