A great new opportunity to join a busy manufacturing organisation as a Production Planner

Role responsibilities include;

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer demand, product lead-time, design and production capacity and inventory levels
  • Monitor and manage Work Centre Groups and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demands.
  • React to changes in demand through expediting and delaying production and purchased goods.
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Escalate issues with capacity levels preventing client deliveries from being achieved within business lead time
  • Ensure lean production sequencing throughout all work centre groups and operations
  • Review and manage schedules with production teams, project managers and key personnel.
  • Plan and execute supply of externally purchased components in line with production schedules and demand
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure optimal resource allocation throughout the production and supply chains
  • Implement best practices for production planning and inventory management, analysing production data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and resolve any issues.
  • Assist in forecasting demand from sales and translating into manufacturing models to achieve revenue targets

Key skills required;

  • Experience of working within Materials & Production Planning
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using MRP software
  • Strong organisational & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills

This role will be fully office-based Monday - Friday
