The Operations Production Planner will be responsible for resource planning and order scheduling to meet customer demands. A methodical and analytical approach will be required to balance supply vs. demand, capacity plans and material lead times while satisfying customers and maximising company revenue/cash-flow.

Specific duties of the Operations Production Planner include:

  • Develop Production Plans and monitor/review their progress
  • Collaborate with procurement and manufacturing re: shortages and optimising material and resource usage
  • Monitor capacity plans
  • Implement best practice production planning and materials management methodologies
  • Seek to introduce LEAN principles into the planning function

Operations Production Planner applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing business
  • Experience in, or understanding of; production planning, materials control, purchasing, logistics, planning
  • MRP/ERP literacy is desirable
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Organised and self-motivated
