We are seeking to appoint a Senior Quality Officer to join a well-established team at Head Office in Chandlers Ford. This position is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS), driving compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Supporting the Quality Manager, the Senior Quality Officer will act as a subject matter expert, ensuring the organisation consistently meets ISO 9001:2015 standards and delivers exceptional service to its customers.

The position has a unique combination of strategic responsibilities, such as process development and supplier management, with operational duties, including audits, root cause analysis, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain the QMS, ensuring it reflects best practices and remains compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards.
  • Define and optimise internal processes, creating and updating quality policies and procedures to drive operational efficiency.
  • Manage and conduct internal and external audits, identifying non-conformances, preparing reports, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain and improve supplier management systems, conducting regular assessments and managing the Approved Supplier List.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to enhance quality and operational performance.
  • Investigate customer complaints, producing detailed reports and implementing resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Design and deliver training sessions on quality systems and best practices, mentoring junior team members to strengthen the organisation's quality culture.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess quality-related risks, providing expert advice to ensure compliance and implement preventive measures.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a senior quality role with a track record of managing and maintaining QMS.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards, including implementation, auditing, and compliance.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex quality data and develop actionable improvement plans.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and fostering collaboration.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and experience with document control systems such as SharePoint.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence is required, with the ability to travel nationwide and occasionally stay away from home when necessary.
