Our client, a leading entity in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join their permanent team. This role involves participating in the design of production processes and equipment, supporting new product development, and solving production issues related to materials, processes, and tooling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing processes and procedures for manufacturing and documenting production processes.
  • Creating production tools and participating in the procurement of capital equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Engaging in the production gate process with Engineering and Manufacturing during New Product Introduction and Manufacturing Release.
  • Supporting the Service Team with customer-related issues and providing technical support to service staff.
  • Collaborating with production operators to foster a positive and supportive culture by addressing technical concerns promptly.
  • Leading the maintenance and diagnostics of test equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Managing material rejects triage and actions.
  • Documenting work processes comprehensively.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Mentoring production technicians to enhance performance.
  • Providing technical training in areas of specific competence when required.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to read electronic schematics with ease.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Altium and CAD viewer applications.
  • Fundamental understanding of setting up manufacturing lines and processes, with a preference for experience in value stream mapping and 5S elements.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in an ISO 9001 environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Significant hands-on experience in a high-tech environment, including equipment maintenance, servicing, and manufacturing of electro-mechanical assemblies.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 10 kg.
Travel:
  • 10% travel expected, including some international travel to customer sites.
