Job Title: Payroll & Benefits Officer Target Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: 12mth Fixed Term Contract, Part Time – 22.5 hours minSalary Range: £24,000 - £28,000 dependant on experience Location: Eastleigh, Hybrid (1 x week office visit) Closing Date for applications: 04.11.2024Payroll & Benefits Officer: An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Payroll department as a Payroll & Benefits officer to help assist with the processing and delivery of all Ageas payroll services in accordance with our company and regulatory requirements. Main Responsibilities as Payroll & Benefits Officer:

·       Process fixed and variable data associated with the monthly payroll. 

·       Provide support for the timely submissions of RTI and other statutory reporting.

·       Review and completion of monthly pay variance and control reports. 

·       Provide advice and information to managers and employees in payroll related matters.

·       Carry out the necessary pensions enrolment processes and complete the reconciliation and upload of monthly pension contributions to the pension provider.

·       Provide payroll administration as required for the Ageas Flexible Benefits processes.

·       Provide monthly reports to Ageas Finance departments and ad hoc reports in line with business requests.

·       Recommend and implement process improvements at a local level where required working with the wider HR Administration and ER team.

·       Liaise closely with HR colleagues to ensure actions are appropriate and timely regarding employees who are sick, dismissed or absent from work and taking necessary payroll actions.

·       Raise monthly payments to third parties, e.g. HMRC, GAYE and Court Orders, by determined deadlines.

·       Administration of the company and flexible benefits car schemes.

·       Support the Payroll Team Leader in project activities as required.

Skills and experience you need as Payroll & Benefits Officer:

·       Preferable to hold CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate or equivalent.

·       Previous payroll experience and up to date knowledge of HMRC regulations.

·       Previous experience of working in an administration environment where attention to detail is vital.

·       Must be highly numerate with a good standard of IT skills including Excel and Word.

·       Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload in order to meet critical deadlines, demonstrating flexibility of working hours whenever necessary and possible.

·       Customer focused and able to handle a range of payroll issues with appropriate sensitivity from simple issues to complex problems.
