We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our clients accountancy team where you will be managing monthly payroll, handle starters, leavers, and salary changes, process tax, NI, and pension payments, and reconcile payroll accounts. You'll provide support on pay and benefits, ensure GDPR compliance, liaise with external providers, and assist with year-end payroll tasks.

Description

For the role of Payroll Officer, the key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Process accurate and timely payroll
  • Reconcile payroll, pension control accounts, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit tax, National Insurance, and other statutory deductions to HMRC.
  • Manage employee benefits, including processing pension payments and liaising with providers.
  • Assist with year-end payroll tasks.
  • Provide advice and support on payroll-related queries.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Handle absence compliance, including sickness, holiday, and parental leave records.
  • Support the creation of detailed payroll reports.
  • Archive and file payroll documentation as required.
