Our client are global leaders, they are recruiting for a Purchasing Officer to support their organization at all stages pf their supply chain.
Purchasing Officer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the organization at all stages of the supply chain, ensuring steady flow of materials throughout the site
- Generate Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for key suppliers
- Assist in Requests for Quotations for new business
- Be responsible for negotiating and agree pricing with suppliers
- Raise and manage invoice and EC orders/ enquiries
- Obtaining and transacting into MRP, the weekly expedite reports, acknowledgements from suppliers and review monthly shortage reports
- Identifying and reporting to both operational staff and the Purchasing Manager any risk in the supply chain that may impact on the ability to manufacture to plan
- Ensure Quality standards are rigorously applied and all health and safety legislative/ policy requirements are met
The ideal Purchasing Officer will:
- Previous demonstrable experience in buying/ MRP
- Broad understanding of the requirements of high volume buying within electronics industry
- Experienced in the negotiation of prices with suppliers
- Full understanding of Quality standards
- Able to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal customers
- Numerate, accurate with an attention to detail
- Excellent PC skills, including MS Office, Excel
- CIPS accreditation (desirable)
Working Hours:
- 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday
- 08:00 - 13:30 Friday
