A market leading electro-mechanical manufacturing business based in Eastleigh are currently recruiting a Quality Team Leader to join their business on a permanent basis.

This role will be leading a team of three responsible for the inspection & test of components and sub-assemblies. This role will remain hands on, but you will be responsible for overseeing processes and identifying and making improvements that could benefit the wider department.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Ensuring all products meet Quality standards and striving to achieve first time pass rate
  • Support production operatives with any quality concerns they might have or with technical advice
  • To record, report on errors and quality concerns, and any repeat issues that can be communicated back into the relevant areas to prevent repeat errors.
  • Managing return requests within the Quality Control team ensuring reports are completed accurately
  • Support with personal ongoing training and development of the Quality team

To be considered for the position of Quality Team Leader candidates will have a proven background in Quality inspection / test within a manufacturing environment. Previous leadership / mentoring or supervisory experience is also required however, this does not have to have been gained in a technical environment. Any previous exposure to working in an environment where LEAN / CI / Six Sigma processes have been implemented would be highly advantageous but not essential.
