We are looking for a paralegal to join a busy Real Estate team in theSouthamptonoffice. Under lawyer supervision, the role will include:

  • Assisting partners/solicitors in the property team covering primarily commercial property but also some high value residential conveyancing and leasehold enfranchisement as well
  • File opening, collation of details, dealing with on line search transactions and preparation of standard enquiries
  • Corresponding regularly with external solicitors and clients both via email and telephone
  • Drafting, amending and negotiating a variety of property documents
  • Organisation of data on spreadsheets, creation and preparation of document bundles, management of documents on data sites
  • Analysing and reporting on title and transaction documents
  • Conducting legal research as appropriate

The successful candidate will enjoy working in property and have good client management skills, a positive approach to team working as well as the ability to work on their own initiative, organise themselves and prioritise their work. The position requires someone who is approachable and confident with an ability to remain calm under pressure. Flexibility in both work content and working across teams is essential. Attendance at the office is required five days a week during the probation period.

  • Law degree or other subject (preferred)
  • Previous property work experience
  • GCSE/A Level in Maths, English, Law
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
