We are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our client's organisation. With a focus on credit control and purchase ledger, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about finance and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

JOB TITLE: French speaking Finance Assistant

COMPANY: Manufacturing

CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS: Monday to Friday - Part time hours between 20-30 hours (flexible)

START: ASAP

SALARY: £26,500 (full time equivalent)

LOCATION: Hedge End

The role:

  • Assist with credit control, ensuring timely collection of payments and resolving any queries or issues that may arise.
  • Manage the purchase ledger, including processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and preparing payment runs.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records by maintaining ledgers and performing regular reconciliations.
  • Support the finance team in month-end procedures, including the preparation of journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, providing financial information and analysis as required.
  • Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and initiatives as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • Fluent in French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in credit control and purchase ledger, with a solid understanding of financial processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently, with a proactive and positive attitude.
