Are you a Learning Support Assistant with experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs?
Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant to fulfil a long-term, temporary role within a Specialist School near Eastleigh, on a temporary, full-time basis.
This is a specialist school providing education for 4-11 year olds with a range of learning, communication and physical needs within a caring and nurturing environment. They are proud of the opportunities and support they provide for pupils and equally for the staff within the school! The team share a passion for enabling each child to develop to their full potential, offering excellent facilities to pupils including a hydrotherapy pool and a variety of therapeutic practices and experiences. The pupils attending this school have a diagnosis of Autism, ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
As the Learning Support Assistant, you will provide tailored and adaptable support to pupils depending on their needs and requirements, and work in collaboration with educators and parents alike to ensure the needs of the children are met appropriately. You will be adaptable to changes and requirements as no days are the same, with a patient and calm manner.
For this role, you will:- Ideally have previous experience working within a specialist education facility, or similar- Have school experience working within a school- Ideally be available five days per week on a long-term basis- Open to working with pupils with varied needs and requirements- Able to work collaboratively with pupils, parents and staff alike
The salary for this position is currently set between £90-100 per day depending on experience.
