We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join one of our partner SEN Schools in Eastleigh;You will play a key role in helping students with SEMH needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, both in and outside the classroom.
  • Help students to develop positive social and emotional skills, manage behavior, and build resilience.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and ensure they are engaged and motivated in their education.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to create and implement individualized support plans.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable).
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine interest in helping students overcome challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior in a calm and effective manner.
