Meridian Business Support is recruiting a Woodwork Operative for a leading provider of Freight, Packing, and Logistics solutions in Chandlers Ford.
The role involves packing goods, operating industrial saws and pneumatic nail guns, and performing general carpentry tasks.
Candidates should have experience using hand and power tools, a full UK driving license, and flexibility for additional hours during busy periods.
The position offers a pay rate of £13.00 per hour with overtime available after 40 hours per week.
This is a full-time, temp to perm role, and prior experience in carpentry or packing is required.

Meridian Business Support are delighted to be working with a leading provider of Freight, Packing and Logistics solutions to recruit a Woodwork Operative on a Temp to Perm basis for their site in Chandlers Ford.

Main duties and responsibilities of role:

Packing goods of various sizes and weights for road, sea, or air transport using custom timber and plywood cases
Operating industrial saws, pneumatic nail guns, and other hand/power tools to construct secure and durable packing cases
Accurately measuring and cutting wood to precise specifications.
Inspecting materials to ensure they meet high-quality standards
Assisting with local deliveries and pickups using a company van, within a 50-mile radius
Performing general carpentry and woodworking tasks as needed

The successful candidate will have:

Experience using hand and power tools (experience with pneumatic nail guns and industrial saws is a bonus)
A full UK driving licence (use of company vehicle is essential)
Flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods (overtime available after a standard 40 hour week(
Willingness to work both at companies site in Chandlers Ford and on-site at customer locations within a 50-mile radius
Experience in carpentry or packing

Pay: £13.00 per hour (overtime available after 40 hours)

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 (flexibility required between 0600 am to 6 pm)
