The project is well underway with several planning, design, and construction workstreams running and they now have a vacancy for a Development Planner to assist with an increasing and varied planning caseload.

About the Role:
As Development Planner you will provide planning advice to help achieve wider team objectives and facilitate delivery. We will look to you to assist and, where appropriate, lead, in the preparation, submission and management of a varied planning application caseload.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure Project Briefs are delivered in a timely manner and that strategic objectives are met. You will procure and coordinate professional consultants managing their output to successful conclusions as well as author technical Town Planning reports for both internal and external audiences.

You will principally work within the planning team, but you will also be expected to work closely with other teams.

About You:

You will have a good understanding of Town Planning and preferably be a Chartered or Licentiate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. You will have demonstrable experience in the preparation and management of planning applications and a good working knowledge of planning and design standards, legislation and guidance.

Our client is predominantly a housing-led development, so experience in the residential sector is desirable.

You will be able to manage a diverse workload and work in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver planning outcomes in a proactive and timely manner. You will be expected to project manage a diverse consultancy team and communicate findings to colleagues, key stakeholders and, where necessary, the public both clearly and effectively.

This role is well suited to individuals looking to build upon existing experience in the planning sector, with the ambition to progress and work toward a more challenging caseload and to gain greater experience in the delivery of a large-scale construction project.

Benefits:

  • Up to 28 days annual leave (full time)
  • Confidential Employee Advice and Support Programme
  • Flexible Working Scheme and the ability to accrue 2 additional days flexi leave a month
