Senior Web Developer – React/Node: Ageas in Eastleigh have an exciting opportunity available as a Senior Web Developer, providing technical leadership and mentoring to IT Developers, whilst working on application builds that meet the requirements, design and build standards.

The successful Web Developer will experience leading the technical build for Web Development teams and have a strong background in building and architecting JavaScript applications, including extensive experience with both Node.js and React.Here are some of the main responsibilities of the Senior Web Developer – React/Node opportunity:Lead technical direction for development team solutions, ensuring all developers understand the delivery requirements and approach.Ensure development collaboration with Product Owner, Delivery Lead, Testers, UX/Design, Business Analysts and roles from other areas throughout Development projects, to identify and deliver business requirements.Support Principal Developer with reviewing development processes, collaborating with team members to identify and implement enhancements.Collaborate with Developers to identify and build new POC’s and architectural decisions, providing reports to the Principal Developer for direction and sign off before changes are implemented.Ensure developers adhere to and maintain Development standards and documentation.Here are some of the skills, knowledge and experience required to be successful in the Senior Web Developer – React/Node opportunity:5+ years in JavaScript development; skilled in Node.js and React for scalable apps.Strong unit testing proficiency; adept with Jest for robust code.Profound understanding of HTML, CSS, essential for frontend.Git version control expertise, adept at Git Flow branching.Proficient in build tools like Webpack, NPM, Docker for streamlined development.Familiar with Azure, Kubernetes, enhancing project value.At Ageas we offer a wide range of benefits to support you and your family inside and outside of work, which helped us achieve, Top Employer status in the UK.Flexible Working - Smart Working @ Ageas gives employees flexibility around location (as long as it’s within the UK) and, for many of our roles, flexibility within the working day to manage other commitments, such as school drop offs etc. We also offer all our vacancies part-time/job-shares .
