The Role:
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and supporting a dedicated team of care professionals
- Ensuring the home operates in line with CIW regulations and safeguarding guidelines
- Supporting the development and well-being of young people, promoting a nurturing and stable environment
- Assisting with staff training, supervisions, and development plans
- Taking part in on-call duties and overseeing shifts when required
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience working within a children's residential setting, ideally in a senior or leadership role
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- A good understanding of CIW regulations and safeguarding practices
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people
