About the Role:

ANZUK education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school located in Blaenau Gwent. You will work within the ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) base, supporting students with additional learning needs. This role is ideal for someone who has a genuine passion for supporting young people and has experience working with challenging behaviour.

This is a long term full time role starting immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 121 support to students within the ASD base, helping them to engage positively with their education.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and provide consistent, patient guidance to students.
  • Foster a supportive and safe learning environment where students can develop their confidence and social skills.

Requirements:

  • Must have Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to process through ANZUK
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour and supporting students with additional needs, ideally within an ASD setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting students educational and personal development.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

Salary:

You can expect a daily rate up to £88/day for this role based on the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm.
