An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Teaching Assistant with experience in a school or similar educational setting to join a well-established special school supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. This role can be temporary, temp-to-perm, or permanent offering excellent benefits and a salary of £21,000.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to pupils, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

You will be responsible for:

  • Encouraging pupil participation in lessons and extracurricular activities.
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.
  • Organising and maintaining a safe, stimulating learning environment.
  • Observing and reporting on pupil progress to relevant staff.
  • Using ICT to support and advance pupil learning.

What we are looking for:

  • Previously worked as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience in a school or similar educational setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications, with at least a Grade C in English and Maths.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
