Term Time Teachers are working closely with a primary school based in Edenbridge who require an experienced year 5 Teacher. Your role as a year 5 teacher will include the responsibility of day to day teaching and learning provision for all children in the class. This is a temp contract covering the spring and summer term.

As a year 5 teacher you will be required to assist children with their learning and development. You'll help to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can develop their confidence and academic skills.

The school itself provides a warm and friendly Christian learning environment where children thrive. They work in partnership with pupils, parents, carers, staff, governors, the Church and the wider local community to provide learning opportunities which allow all the children to achieve their potential.

Your key responsibilities as a Year 5 Teacher:

  • Have a creative approach and the ability to deliver learning in an exciting way.
  • Create a classroom learning environment that is happy, challenging and engaging.
  • Encourage participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
  • Be able to remain calm and composed if presented with challenging behaviour.
  • Work in accordance with the legal requirements and policies of the school.
  • Patience and understanding towards children's diverse needs.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils.

Requirements:

  • Have QTS.
  • Strong knowledge of the key stage 2 curriculum.
  • Have previous experience working as an effective and outstanding primary teacher.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to apply.
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Be able to provide two references within the last 2 years.
