The School:
This very small Special Needs School caters for children with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficulties in Years 7-11. All the pupils who attend the school have a designated Education Heath Care Plan (EHCP), which details their specific needs in terms of care and support they will have access to. Children have diagnosis' including Autism, ADHD, PTSD, and Pathological Demand Avoidance.
All members of staff quickly become a part of the school community- an enthusiastic and friendly team of educators, dedicated to providing the best start to young people.
Information on the Maths Teacher role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be required to plan, deliver, and assess Mathematics for children in Years 7-11. Class sizes are small, with no more than 8 children per class. Throughout the curriculum, enquiry-based learning is encouraged and as you get to know the children more personalised learning will further empower the children.
The students follow the National Curriculum up to GCSE level.
Requirements of the Maths Teacher role:
- Maths Degree or similar
- QTS
- Hold an Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
- Able to build relationships quickly
