About the Company:

Our client is a leading firm of Chartered certified Accountants, based in Stanmore, North West London, founded in 1975, but with roots going back over 60 years. They specialise in providing an extensive range of services to small and medium-sized businesses.

About the Opportunity:

In this role you will work with the team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of technical audit and other accountancy services.

This will include :

  • Complete tasks allocated to standard required by Audit Manager.
  • Receive feedback & discuss this with the Audit Manager, learning from this to apply next time.
  • Run all audit process from planning through to completion.
  • Do all accounts prep and process including corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Liaise with clients to assist with planning and to complete assignments.

About the Responsibilities:

  • Role split between Audit (50%) and Company Accounts/Tax (50%)
  • Sufficiently experienced to carry out the whole audit process, from planning, to fieldwork to completion; The file will then be reviewed by the Audit Partner.
  • For the time being, the role will carry out all audit work, with no junior staff to assist.
  • Top quality communications skills required, to be a primary point of contact for clients, especially the Audit clients.

About the Applicant:

Essential

  • Qualifications: Fully qualified ACA/ACCA.
  • Ideally 3 years experience and audit and accounts role.
  • Can demonstrate a knowledge of VAT concepts and tax planning ideas for clients.
  • Experience in book-keeping, management accounts and trial balance preparation.
  • Previous Accountancy practice experience.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet the Directors needs.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.

Personal

  • The successful candidate will be expected to communicate with clients directly, so excellent spoken and written English skills are a requirement.
  • A professional, enthusiastic and responsible approach are required, as well as being able to demonstrate the ability to work independently.
  • Candidates will be required to demonstrate an understanding of the different areas of accounting and book-keeping.
